DSLNG Conducts Awareness Program on the Dangers of Drug Abuse and Online Gambling
DSLNG, in collaboration with subdistrict governments, local Youth Organizations (Karang Taruna), law enforcement agencies, and the Banggai District Health Office, organized a public awareness campaign to increase community understanding of the dangers of drug abuse and online gambling in the subdistricts of Batui, Kintom, and Nambo. The initiative followed a social assessment conducted jointly by DSLNG and Karang Taruna in the company's empowerment areas, which identified drug abuse and the growing prevalence of online gambling as pressing community concerns. Through educational sessions led by representatives from the police and the Health Office, participants gained insights into the health impacts, legal consequences, and preventive measures that can be implemented within families, schools, and communities. This initiative reflects DSLNG's commitment to fostering healthy, safe, and productive communities while strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration to build resilient social environments and protect younger generations from the threats of drug abuse and online gambling.
