DSLNG Promotes Environmental Journalism Through “Writing to Save Nature” Training

DSLNG places strong emphasis on environmental sustainability in its operational areas in Central Sulawesi and, in collaboration with the Central Sulawesi chapter of the Indonesian Online Media Association (AMSI), strengthened its environmental advocacy campaign through a journalism training program titled “Writing to Save Nature,” held in Palu on January 8-9 2026. The program was attended by 30 journalists from print and online media and featured speakers from national journalism, environmental activism, and the industrial sector, with the main presentation delivered by the Editor in Chief of National Geographic Indonesia, Didi Kaspi Kasim, who shared insights on producing compelling and inspiring environmental coverage through deeper human and nature-centered storytelling. On the same occasion, DSLNG Corporate Communication Manager Adhika Paramanandana highlighted the importance of transparency and open communication among companies, the media, and the public in environmental management, while AMSI Central Sulawesi Chair Muhammad Iqbal emphasized the strategic role of journalists as guardians of the public interest and drivers of sustainable development, with the training expected to generate critical, data-driven journalism that supports environmental conservation amid the intersection of economic and environmental interests in Central Sulawesi.
