Promoting Local Chess Excellence, DSLNG Hosts Chess Master 2025
PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) demonstrated its commitment to the development of local sports by organizing the DSLNG Chess Master 2025, a 10-minute rapid chess tournament held on 22–27 December 2025 at the DSLNG Oil and Gas Information Center in Batui. This event was participated in by 49 chess players from the Batui, Kintom, and Nambo districts and was organized in collaboration with Percasi Banggai and KONI Banggai, offering a total prize pool of IDR 16 million. In the tournament, Afrin Mulalat emerged as the champion after defeating Mohammad Rum Adiputra with a 2–1 score in the final match, earning a prize of IDR 5 million. Rum secured second place with a prize of IDR 3.5 million, while Marsono Matarang finished third and received IDR 2.5 million. Beyond highlighting Afrin’s dominance in the Banggai chess scene throughout 2025, the championship also reflected DSLNG’s active role in nurturing and identifying regional chess talent through its synergy with Percasi.
